As kids,we loved to fantasize and talk about how great and super cool we wanted to become in future.. We had loads of answers to anyone who asked us what we would like to be when we grow up. I can remember i wanted to become so many things. I wanted to be Barbie, a pop star, I even wanted to become a great baker and so many people could not help but wonder what i really wanted. Every child had a dream or has a dream.Those moments were so sweet and lovely and we couldn't also wait to become grownups so we could actualize our dreams but for one reason or the other, most of us if not all ended up studying something different and left our teenage dream hanging. I just got home a little bit late from work yesterday and was about taking a cool shower when my brother announced that the post master delivered my school result in the afternoon. Shivers ran down my spine as i bumped into the couch. The first thing i asked was if he had told our parents yet and he told me the Post master himself called the phone number written on the letter to say that he just brought a letter. I immediately asked for the letter... Lo and behold, it was Dad's number. You might be wondering why i was acting funny and being so scared. Well, am not an "olodo"(Someone who isn't brilliant)... I had Cs and Ds with only one B *Covers face* but something really happened... Something really stupid! I had seen my result earlier in school and lied about it. I actually sent a wrong report to my parents in which i upgraded my marks... Very bad isn't it? I became very confused, afraid and decided to sleep earlier than usual. I woke up this morning feeling very nervous that i was shivering all over. To cut the story short, my dad was really angry with me and you know how Nigerian mums can be.. "You are going to learn a trade" "Omo buruku"(Bad child) and i was just standing like a log of wood. I felt really bad... So what am i really driving at? Should you even ever lie to your parents no matter what? I f you ever find yourself in this kind of situation or something similar, Here is what you should do:

TEEN ADVICE: DOES IT MATTER IF PEOPLE DON'T LIKE IT?

I recently had a haircut and I think i love it but some of my friends are making a fuss about it. "Hey Nana, that haircut doesn't fit!" "It doesn't look good on you!" while some of my friends absolutely love it.
I got a lovely comment from a co-worker this morning. He actually told me how much he loves my new look and how he would really want his girlfriend to wear my hairstyle so this got me really confused. Who the hell is telling the truth? If anyone had actually told me i was going to have my haircut earlier, i would have argued point black because i never had any plans to shave my hair..( I didn't shave everything). All the same, i really really love my haircut. I got really bothered at first when i started getting comments i didn't like but you need to see me now... As confident as ever! Why am i telling you all these? I just want to share simple steps on how not to care about what people say or think about you. As young adults, a lot of things would take place in our lives.. not just a haircut that some of your friends would frown at some things you do but you need to brace up and do what you love doing as long as it's not illegal.

I really do not know what to say or where to start from..OK, i love teens a lot. Come to think of it, they are the most awesome and most adorable set of people on planet earth! OK... i said OK again...lol. Am really short of words! Seriously now, am having mixed feelings. Creating this blog is giving me so much joy because i get the opportunity to pass across a lot of lovely stuffs to teenagers across the world and at the same time i am really nervous. All the same, i am really determined to do this.. There is going to be nothing called "going back" for me. I am ready to do this and show teenagers LOVE. I am a teenager myself and i know what possibly goes through our minds, the things we want to let out so bad, our deepest secrets, our highest expectations,our dreams,our fears and everything you can name.
